New Mexico Bee Assoc Annual Meeting

New Mexico Beekeepers Association is pleased to announce our annual meeting

The main speaker will be Mark Carroll of the USDA Honey Bee Research Lab.

He will cover the new challenge of varroa control, meaner, faster and more lethal.

The meeting will be at the 1st Presbyterian Church Downtown starting Friday January 17, 2014 at 12pm and continues through Saturday January 18, 2014 at 4pm.

Cost to the public is free, membership in the NMBKA is recommended.

Giveaways- We have 2 full Langstroth hives donated by Western Bee Supply Company via the Western Apiculture Society.

Coffee and Tea Provided. Boilerplate Food Truck will be available with freshly made sweet and savory crepes during lunch.

Alabama Master Beekeepers - Symposium

Friday
The Alabama Master Beekeepers will be hosting a one day Symposium January 31. This will be at Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama. This is being offered the day before the Auburn Beekeepers Symposium.

Several classes will be offered oriented to the Apprentice and Journeyman Levels. Testing will be offered for these levels as well. Registration is required. There will be a $50 fee for pre-registration, deadline is January 20th. Registration on the day of will be $75.

Also, the Master Level testing will be offered as a make-up. This is offered to those who were unable to take the last test. All requirements must be met prior to testing. Documentation showing Public Service Credits and Majors will be required prior to testing.
